Arthritis is not just a disease of old age.

Two-thirds of people with arthritis are under the age of 65. It can be extremely painful and frustrating to struggle with everyday activities.

If you’re struggling with arthritis and looking for a non-medication way to take the edge off of those painful joints, getting the right chiropractic care may be the best option for you.

What is Arthritis?

Arthritis affects your joints – where two or more bones meet.

Arthritis causes pain, stiffness, and damage to joint cartilage (the tough, smooth tissue that covers the ends of the bones, enabling them to glide against one another).

Such damage can lead to joint weakness, instability and visible deformities that, depending on the location of joint involvement, can interfere with the most basic daily tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, using a computer keyboard, cutting your food or brushing your teeth.

Symptoms

The major complaint by individuals who have arthritis is joint pain and stiffness. Pain is often constant and may be localized to the joint affected. The pain from arthristis is due to inlfammation that occurs around the joint, damage to the joint from disease, muscle strains caused by forceful movements against stiff painful joints and fatigue.
